SBI Art Auction will hold the ‘66th SBI Art Auction | MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ART’ at Hillside Forum in Daikanyama on July 6th (Saturday) and 7th (Sunday), 2024.
This auction will take place over the weekend, with a viewing period of five days. On July 4th (Thursday), the viewing hours will be extended. In collaboration with a company called ‘camo’, the organizer of events such as ‘SAKEJUMP - Festival of Young Brewers: Dawn of the Young’ - we are planning an event called ‘Thursday Lates Powered by SAKEJUMP,’ where you can enjoy delicious Japanese sake from emerging and talented brewers. As the days grow longer in summer, why not indulge in some art appreciation?
Our sale features a diverse range of contemporary and modern art. The main highlight of this auction is Keith HARING’s ‘Untitled (Surfboard),’ a piece that embodies the essence of summer and conveys its refreshing arrival. Works by KUSAMA Yayoi, a leading artist in Japanese contemporary art, are also featured, starting with her iconic ‘Pumpkin’ paintings and spanning mixed media, ceramics, and silkscreen. Explore Kusama’s ambitious artistic endeavors.
Amidst these vibrant artworks, our sale also highlights serene pieces that evoke coolness during the scorching heat.
