SBI Art Auction is thrilled to present the "51st SBI Art Auction｜Modern and Contemporary Art" sales on Friday, May 27 and Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Hillside Forum in Daikanyama, Tokyo.
Recent success of "Tokyo Contemporary: Redefined," a special auction which took place simultaneously ever with "Art Fair Tokyo" at Tokyo International Forum on March 12 brought excitement to the Japanese art market with 1.28 billion yen sales record.
We believe such excitement will be carried on at our May auction with an eye-catching lineup including works by artists that are celebrated in the contemporary art market in both Japan and overseas, and works exhibited for the first time at auction in Japan. The auction will be held at the conventional venue in Hillside Forum, Daikanyama.

Highlights including world famous KUSAMA Yayoi, ROKKAKU Ayako's unique canvas, SORAYAMA Hajime's life-sized sexy robot which appears for the first time in Japan's auction house. Edition works by acclaimed Andy WARHOL, KAWS, Javier CALLEJA, NARA Yoshitomo, KUSAMA Yayoi.
