SBI’s 2023 year beginning sale held on January 27 – 28 in Daikanyama
SBI Art Auction is thrilled to present the "55th SBI Art Auction|LIVE STREAM + MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ART" sales on Friday, January 27 and Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Hillside Forum in Daikanyama, Tokyo.
Starting with KUSAMA Yayoi's acrylic work with a vivid grape motif, eight original works in acrylic, gouache, and collage, including a chic monotone pumpkin, and 21 edition works; the diverse Kusama world will be unfolded throughout the lineup. In addition, a 100 x 100 cm square canvas work by ROKKAKU Ayako, a life-size canvas work by KYNE, and original colored pencil works by NARA Yoshitomo will add vibrance to the sale. Works by up-and-coming artists who have been redefining the recent Japanese art market such as IMAI Ulala and TOMOZAWA Kotao, a total of five silkscreen works by Andy WARHOL including a Campbell's Soup Can, as well as works by a number of notable international artists such as Jordy KERWICK and Edgar PLANS will be on display.
